This Great Good Man
BY NICK SALAMONE, TUFTS STUDENT 1972-1976, OWNER, OFF VINE RESTAURANT, LOS ANGELES, CA
I did not know Tony as a teacher although he taught me much. I did know him as a friend and a theatre artist and I cherished him dearly in both those capacities. Tony was soulful and honest in his assessments and advice. He was gentlemanly and kind and capable of great subltities and distinctions. He was helpful and encouraging and modulated and beautiful and I will miss him, and the connectedness I felt with him since our first encounter, terribly. I send my deepest condolences to Linda and Simon on the enormous loss of this great good man. And I thank Josh Gates, sweet friend, for creating the lovely vehicle in which we share our memories and our sadness.
