Arrangements

tree BY SIMON CORNISH, ENGLAND
I have now made the final arrangements for Tony's funeral according to his wishes. He will be buried at Canterbury cemetery on Monday 18th July at 11.00 AM with a simple ceremony and a 'green funeral.' Apart from the non religious aspect they involve a sympathetically biodegradable coffin (I chose woven bamboo as it looked particularly attractive with an arrangement of flowers on top) and they are often conducted in woodland areas. What attracted me to Canterbury was that it has the benefit of a formal and beautifully kept late Victorian cemetery but the graves in the area set aside for green burials are overplanted with native wild flowers. I thought you might like to let interested parties know about these arrangements and more importantly that Linda and I will plan a big celebrate-tony.com get together for anybody interested sometime probably in September. With much love to you all.
