Tony Cornish was always so incredibly encouraging and delighted with my work. I may not have been the strongest actor in the department, but he helped me find my strengths and play to them. As he was always a ready font of information and so incredibly correct with grammar and pronunciation, I remember joking that he had the Complete Works of Shakespeare lodged in that bump on his forehead that he always massaged. I'm so lucky that I had the opportunity to work under his tutelage, and I'm happy that he continued to stay in touch for years after I graduated. He used to come to New York and have little get-togethers with past students; even now, he has become a way for me to be in touch with people I haven't talked to for years.
